Do I want a Trade Show Hanging Sign or a Tower? Now you don’t have to choose between just one or the other. We have two great ways to accomplish both. The request for a tower + hanging sign has increased lately as towers have gained in popularity and Exhibitors look to save money on set up and rigging fees at the convention. But is this even the right option for you? Let’s examine the pros and cons of each:
Pros & Cons of the Trade Show Tower + Hanging Sign Combo
The biggest advantage to adding this tower + hanging sign combo is the savings on rigging fees and labor. You can be more ‘self-reliant’ by not needing the services of the show to assemble + riggin + dismantle the sign over your booth.
That being said, I still REALLY like the conventional hanging sign above your booth. It can easily cover a larger area and can go much taller with a hanging sign for maximum exposure. I don’t think towers will ever really replace the conventional trade show hanging signs, but there are times that it might certainly be a worthy option…
Exhibitors who have an ambitious trade show strategy and plan on exhibiting at multiple shows might find this combination especially useful. Not only will it save a lot of money, but it is much less planning and paperwork leading up to the show. Being able to set up the tower yourself can be quicker and let you focus on other things (you know, like getting more business!)
2 Ways to Combine a Trade Show Tower + Hanging Sign
SEG Tower + Trade Show Hanging Sign
The first way to achieve this type of exhibit set up is with an SEG Frame System for the Tower. Not only can we produce virtually any size tower (since they can be custom built to spec) but it is a strong frame system that allows TV Monitors and storage on the inside. We have done trade show towers 16’+ tall.
The Hanging Sign is then added on top using a special cable rig that goes across the top of the tower. Make sure to consult your exhibit provider, but with a careful team the tower can be assembled and then tilted half-way up before the hanging sign is added on top and then fully tilted up.
You can then use a ladder to adjust the sign so it looks nice and straight and centered. Check with the show, since they most likely have ladders available to rent sometimes up to 12′ tall ladders for pretty inexpensive.
Blimp Tower with Trade Show Hanging Sign
The second option is the Blimp Tower with Hanging Sign. This uses a slightly different extruded aluminum frame that is wrapped in full color dye sublimated fabric graphics. These are available as round or square towers and can stand up to 15′ tall (with the hanging sign added on top).
You can even zip open the tower door and use the inside for storage and add a TV Monitor. This is a complete turnkey package that you can set up yourself.
Add an optional Hard Travel Case for storage and shipping from show-to-show. Even add an optional Fabric Graphic Wrap to the Hard Travel Case to Turn it into a Counter for your booth.
The Blimp Tower with Hanging Sign is a great way to plan our your booth space especially when combined with other elements like the case-to-counter option above or other portable fabric displays like in this rendering:
