Dear Exhibitors- Things are looking up.
Our industry has had to hit the pause button over the last year for many if not most live and in-person events, but we’re now seeing the return to exhibiting happen.
With that, we are making a special announcement to exhibiting companies of a few things to be aware of as you plan for your next show:
#1- The 2nd half of 2021 is condensed with many shows that would normally be spread over a full year. A lot of shows including some of the biggest shows postponed their dates to the summer and fall/ winter of this year.
#2- In 2020, supply of inventory stayed the same while Demand dropped last year. We are seeing this trend start to reverse and some product categories may be low or out-of-stock as the market recovers until things normalize.
#3- Shipping has been been stretched to capacity due to online sales and vaccine rollout. Please allow for a little extra time for delivery in the event of any shipping delays.
#4- This is mostly speculative, but as the spread of Covid continues around the world and particularly India (as of 5-5-2021), any re-introduction into China or other south east Asian countries may result in further lockdowns which could result in container delays, thus disrupting inventory supply.
Please note: These issues will be in-large-part industry-wide and not just Production Prints as we talk with other large suppliers and vendors in our space.
We are recommending to our customers to plan much earlier than normal this year due to these unique circumstances until things begin to return to ‘normal’ towards the end of the year and into next year.
That’s the bad news. The good news is we are working daily to improve our systems and process to adjust to these changes and very much look forward to serving our customers for the return to live and in-person trade shows and events!
