Merchandiser shelving exhibits are perfect for adding products to your booth space and are incredibly portable.
This post will explain how to set up a Merchandiser unit from start to beginning.
After reading through carefully, you will be able to tackle the set up of your Merchandiser Exhibits whether at your business location or in your booth at a convention center.
I will profile the 36″ wide X 89″ tall Single-Sided Merchandiser Shelving Package in this set up guide, but each different Merchandiser size and kit is fundamentally the same and you can still follow these same basic steps.
#1 Open boxes and lay everything out
Lay out all the packaged components, including the printed graphics so you can visibly preview everything at once to see what you’re working with.
#2 Remove protective packaging
Remove all of the protective packaging from the components and recycle or discard the packaging.
Now you have an even better look at all of the components.
#3 Assemble push-pin frame poles
Begin assembling the push-pin tube frame poles that are bungee’d together, first creating the long vertical poles.
#4 Attach the corner connectors
Find the corner connectors along with the straight poles and assemble the back wall panels that the graphics will fit over.
Important: Make sure that the orientation is correct for the corner pieces. The “open-end” should face vertically up and down. This is how it attaches to the base plate and how the shelf bars attach to the top so you will need the hole like below:
#5 Add the support bar
Once the back wall outside frame is together, add the thin support bar to the middle of the frame like below:
#6 Assemble the base
Screw the pegs onto the base plate from the bottom in the corners. The graphic back wall and shelving support poles will fit onto those pegs using that hole we talked about above.
#7 Install the fabric graphics
Next, locate the fabric graphic and slip it over the frame. The zipper will be located on the bottom of the fabric. Hold the sides together in front of the zipper as you slide it down to make it easier to zip and put less pressure on the zipper.
You can now add the back wall to the base plate by connecting it to the pegs shown above.
#8 Assemble shelf frame
Take the straight shelf poles and top curved corner tube pieces and attach to top and bottom like so:
#9 Add the shelves to the shelf frame
Time to add the shelving. This is best done when two people help: one person can hold one side, while the other person is tightening the bracket. The shelves are adjustable and can slide up and down.
Pro-tip: Be careful when assembling the the acrylic shelves as they are a bit abrasive and can scratch the shelf frame if not careful.
That’s it! You have successfully assembled the display!
The assembly is completely modular and can be set up and dismantled at any given time.
The only tool needed is the allen wrench to fasten the shelving brackets. Everything else can be accomplished tool-free!
